PhotoChances Explorer Editor's Review

'PhotoChances' runs a slideshow of your selected photos while playing your selected music.

If we split it step by step, this program is easy to use. You have to select the folder or the folders where you have your photos. You don't have to add the subfolders because it's enough to check the 'Include subfolders' check box. The same steps are available for the audio files for the soundtrack. As the slide show is running, you can capture any of the images shown, at native resolution. When you save a image it will contain the recipe of the effect that produced it and you can easily apply the same effect to any other images.

If you press the left or right arrows a slider will appear which will allow you to select the right moment of the photo to be saved. It will show you the photo with the effects applied to it. If you wish, you can modify the filters settings and create your own photographic filters. Unfortunately, you can't preview the effects to see how they look. You have to test them and try to find the right combination. This affects the usability of the program. When you capture an image, by pressing the space bar, it will be opened in the PhotoChances Lab where you can adjust it and save it. You can also use this program as your screen saver.

The program might be easy to use after you've read the help file but it is not intuitive. If you are a newbie you might not understand all its features in one sitting.
